[Webtest] previousresponse not available when previous testSpec died due to "java.net.SocketException: Connection reset"

Hi,

Before I start my tests, I would like to have canoo to verify that my
environment is up and running.

In absence of the telnet protocol available in <config protocol="...", I am
using http to test for example ssh on port 22.
This works o.k. and the lastResponse1053705061486 file contains the desired
string
"SSH-1.99-OpenSSH_3.4p1" if it is up and running.
As per haltonerror="false", I would like to access this information in the
subsequent testSpec and I guess <previousresponse> would be the appropriate
action to perform to get that content back for a <verifytext>.
Unfortunately, it isn't there:

As to be expected, I first get
<<main:
 [testSpec] java.net.SocketException: Connection reset
 [testSpec] at
java.net.SocketInputStream.read(SocketInputStream.java:168)
 [testSpec] at
java.io.BufferedInputStream.fill(BufferedInputStream.java:183
)
 [testSpec] at
java.io.BufferedInputStream.read1(BufferedInputStream.java:22
...
>>
but then also:
<<BUILD FAILED
file:c:/data/MyProject/testing
Test step previousresponse named "verifySSH" failed with message "Step "get
SSH ID" (2/4): No previous response available">>

Any thoughts how I could get this to work?

Rgds
