Well,

first, it's ULC not UVC (stands for Ultra Light Client).

second, this application is targeted at situations where you have
a large number of possibly large resultfiles to explore.
These files reside on the server.

ULC allows to _transparently_ have only those items sent to the
client that the user currently explores (lazy loading).

Do you have any special reason for preferring the Applet solution?
